Tercet

A tercet is a tri line verse oftentimes rhyming within itself or with other tri lined stanzas.

There are notions of tercets in the Hebrew Bible and there is common acceptance that tercets were introduced into English by Sir Thomas Wyatt who was an English poet of the early 16th century.

Since then many attempts were made at the form, I can inform that I myself have written numerous tercet verses that are published in “Vandalism with Cheese” anthology.

In my finding, this form is easy to follow and three liner is something all of can do and continue to build up the story and the tensions keeping the form.

It is neat on-page and pleasant to read as it follows a logical sequence.
